Community leaders have spoken out in support of Labour MP Kiri Allan, who has announced she is fighting for her life.
The Labour representative for the East Coast and Minister of Conservation has revealed she has been diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer.

"So now the fight of my life begins," she said in a Facebook post this morning.
