Elise Archer,Minister for Arts The Tasmanian Government recognises the significant impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on the State’s cultural and creative sector, and that’s why we have provided significant support to help the industry get back on its feet. In December 2020, we announced a $2 million Live Performance Support Program to give the sector confidence to plan live performances in 2021. Through this program, our Government will share some of the risk of potential lost ticket sales if performances are required to be cancelled or significantly modified due to changes to Public Health Directives relating to COVID-19, or to our Framework for COVID-19 Safe Events and Activities in Tasmania.
