As the court-appointed receiver for the collapsed Champlain Towers South condominium moves forward on an auction for the oceanfront property, the judge overseeing the litigation asked attorneys Thursday to check whether by law he must split all sale proceeds among property owners or if he can dole some out to families of the 98 people who died in the disaster.
