Burleson police are looking for Jerry Don Elders, pictured, in connection with a possible fatal carjacking and the shooting of a police officer, April 14, 2021.
What to Know
Jerry Don Elders, 39, was taken into custody in Gainesville after a stolen vehicle he was believed to be traveling in was spotted by a license plate reader and tracked by police.
A Joshua woman was carjacked outside her home after the officer was shot. She turned up at the Joshua PD with multiple gunshot wounds and later died from her injuries.
