Communities across the South Plains are beginning to receive shipments of the COVID-19 vaccines, and are hosting clinics with the resources they have available. Tim Pierce, executive director of the South Plains Association of Government, says it's a unique undertaking for everyone — he said it's like building an airplane as you're flying it. To give out second doses, the Crosby County Pioneer Memorial Museum has been transformed into a vaccine clinic for the weekend. Why the museum? Because the museum's auditorium is the largest room in Crosbyton. Debra Miller is the administrator at the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. The two-bed hospital received about 1,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine for the first time last month.
