In India, currently, the 6 GHz band is used partly by the Indian Space Research Organisation for its satellite operations. The ITU World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), which is currently taking place in Dubai, will identify the upper 6 GHz (6.425-7.125) for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) or mobility usage.
