Tesla is looking to recruit someone that will handle “social media escalations” against chief executive Elon Musk. Ever since the electric car manufacturer killed off its PR department last year, Elon Musk’s official Twitter account has become the main channel that the company and Musk use to communicate with the public. Evidently, Musk can’t do it alone. The listing is for a remote, full-time position known as an ‘Energy Customer Support Specialist.’ The job listing notes that “Tesla Energy Support Specialists handle a variety of customer issues while delivering on world class customer service. The role of a specialist is to resolve or escalate complaints through appropriate channels and address social media escalations directed at the CEO with critical thinking.”
