Texas State Parks expand capacity starting Wednesday mySA 3/10/2021 Things are returning to normal at the Texas State Parks. The Texas State Parks department announced Wednesday in a news release that it's expanding its capacity immediately given Gov. Greg Abbott's order that is allowing businesses to open at 100 percent. Before the order, the parks operated at a limited capacity. While most parks will be able to expand capacity, the department noted some might have limits as a few parks are still recovering from Winter Storm Uri. According to the release, capacity limits were already in place before the pandemic to protect natural resources and to make the visitor experience safe and enjoyable.
