Messina Hof earned a gold, silver and bronze medal at the 2021 TEXSOM International Wine Awards held in late April.Cultivate PR / Cultivate PR The 2021 TEXSOM International Wine Awards attracted almost 2,400 entries from 29 countries including the USA where 16 states had wines entered into the competition. The 44 wine judges sipped, slurped, swished and spat these wine during the judging on April 25, 26 and 27 at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. Teams of these hand-picked, renowned wine judge tasted and judged about 70 to 80 wines per day. After the end of the wine spitting, judges awarded 89 Platinum Medals (equivalent to a Double Gold Medal), 189 Gold Medals, 731 Silver Medals, and 805 Bronze Medals. In addition, there were 89 entries that were nominated for the Judges Selection Award with 51 getting the Judges Selection Award. Those receiving the Judges Selection Award were also awarded a Platinum Medal. Two Texas wines were chosen for the Judges Selections Award which were:
