But the best family-friendly sledding spot in all of Southeast Portland is Kenilworth Park.
Even in the earliest goings of the weekend’s snowfall, children and their adult chaperones were flocking to the park’s bowl-shaped green spaces.
Maddie Trebelhorn, 10, was primed and ready to hit the slopes before accumulation even reached 1 inch on the valley floor Friday. The Grout Elementary fourth grader and her father, Chris, set out in the morning to get a bit of sledding in before Maddie had to log in for the day’s virtual classes.
