The US writer-producer will be crafting the biographical series using source material from Audrey at Home: Memories of My Mother’s Kitchen, written by Hepburn’s son, Luca Dotti, and writer and journalist Luigi Spinola. The best-selling part-cookbook, part-photo album features a compilation of personal memories from Hepburn along with some of her favourite recipes gathered from across the globe. Dotti – Hepburn’s son with Italian psychiatrist Andrea Dotti, whom she was married to from 1969 to 1982 – is also aiding in the show’s production.
