The Orange County Historical Museum is honored to host Tom Magnuson for a four part series, âThe Networks of Early North Carolina History.â In this series, Magnuson will present some of his findings from his thirty years of studying the earliest commercial transportation networks in the Southeast of North America. The programs will begin as virtual events but, if COViD restrictions are lifted, may be offered in person as well. The events currently scheduled as part of this series are: February 4 at 7PM - "First Contact: Native Americans and Europeans in the Sounds, 1524-1650" May 6 at 7PM - "Carolina's First Permanent Settlement, 1650-1705"
