The Predmores seem like class act owners (I'm sure they had the best intentions), Laura Harvey came over from Europe and led the team to success year after year, we had IMO the best female player in the world...Kim Little, we had Bev Yanez, Naho, Rumi, and many others...thaknfully still have Lauren Barnes. Yes, the coming and going of US nationals can be a bit of a roller coaster, but there was a foundation. We moved to a new facility for good reasons, and it was an upgrade......then......Olympique Lyonnais came along. New coach rumored to be a grad A asshole. body shaming players. A minority owner runs his mouth about relocating the team and I get flashbacks to the Sonics and Clay Bennett (I'm not over it....still an open wound), our number one draft pick gets sucked up by some team in Spain...Sociedad Deportiva Eibar?!? While NWSL is VERY quickly being left behind as the premier destination for the best talent in the world, our local team seems to have become the reserve squad to some stupid team in France that I could care less about.
