Raleigh, NC (PRUnderground) February 21st, 2021 Local hip-hop artist theDeeepEnd will release his latest project, “In My Head,” on Bandcamp on December 9, then to all major streaming services on December 25. Malcolm Brown is theDeeepEnd, also known as North Carolina’s Superman, able to swing from emceeing a song one minute to producing hits for another artist the next. As he writes and produces his work, it’s clear Brown is one of the most talented artists in the Triangle hip-hop scene, if not all of North Carolina. “In My Head” is an auditory representation of Brown’s self-reflection since the COVID-19 quarantine began in early spring. Each track showcases the growth, lessons, and views he’s generated during the lockdown. “Divide & Conquer” – inspired by J. Cole and NoName’s heated Twitter dispute – showcases the divisiveness of social media, while “In My Head” places Brown’s authentic self in the spotlight.
