DEARBORN, MI -- Helen Bandyke was a newlywed 78 years ago when her husband was drafted in World War II.
She wanted to find a way to fill her time, so she went to work building airplane wings.
Helen, who turned 100 years old on March 29, is a Rosie the Riveter, a large group of American women who joined the workforce during World War II to support the war effort.
