Three people were seriously injured in a weather-related crash Tuesday morning on I-24 in Christian County. A semi was stopped with traffic on the eastbound side near the 71 mile-marker when it was rear-ended by a pickup that was hauling a trailer with a vehicle on it, according to Deputy Chris Miller. Another semi then struck the rear of the pickup, causing severe damage. All three occupants of the pickup had to be extricated by the Christian County Rescue Team. Two males were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center and a female was flown to Vanderbilt University medical center with multiple serious injuries.
