Clemson, S.C. - After concluding the fall campaign with a 6-4-0 overall record, the Clemson women’s soccer team returns to the field as they open up the spring slate with a road series against College of Charleston (0-1-0, 0-0-0). The matches will mark the Tigers’ first set of spring regular season competition after coming off a home exhibition against Furman this past weekend. The Cougars, who are fresh off a 5-1 road loss to the Florida Gators, will get their first taste of action at home as the Tigers will square off in the in-state match-up on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. Despite their first meeting dating back to the 2001 season, the two sides have only faced four times in the all-time series with the most recent outing coming in the form of the 2015 season opener. Through the four meetings, the Tigers hold a 4-0 record with a 2-0 mark when competing on the road. Clemson has outscored the opposition 13-2 in the series with both of College of Charleston’s goals coming in the 2002 match where the Tigers took the 3-2 overtime victory. Coming into the spring opener, the Clemson coaching staff of Eddie Radwanski, Jeff Robbins, and Siri Mulinix will look to add another milestone to their resume as they sit one win shy of 100 career wins at Clemson after directing the program for the last decade.
