Time to show more love to downtown Auckland's public spaces

But now Queens Wharf looks a tired, cluttered mess.
It’s new prime purpose is the fancy ferry terminal berths almost finished on its western edge, blocking views of and from The Cloud.
The cruise ships are gone, resource consent for the government-owned “Cloud” expires next year and the queen of the city’s wharves seems soulless, with not even a coffee on offer.
It’s a place to fish off, or for a few office workers, to eat their packed lunches.
