The Supreme Court has ordered the withdrawal of the Look Out Circular (LOC) placed by the Enforcement Directorate against TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee and his wife in relation to alleged money laundering and coal smuggling in West Bengal. The apex court had criticised the ED for issuing the LOC against the high-profile couple in the past. The ED has relaxed the LOC for Banerjee and his wife on several occasions but the court said that the LOC should be withdrawn and that they need to inform the anti-money laundering agency a week in advance before travelling abroad.
