Traffic controls sought for fatal curve in Carlsbad [The San Diego Union-Tribune] Tenants of a Carlsbad business park are asking the city to step up traffic control on a section of Faraday Avenue that has seen at least four accidents, including a recent fatality, in the past year. A 29-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle in a curve, went off the pavement, over the sidewalk and crashed into a building about 3:15 p.m.Dec. 4 at the corner of Faraday and Palmer Way, much to the horror of the building’s occupants. He was declared dead at the scene. He was identified only as an Encinitas resident.
