right, because investment money is pouring in. this is where everybody�*s at. everybody�*s desperate to be the market leader. i think, you know, the horse has bolted in terms of pausing development. nobody is going to just sit down and stop what they're doing, are they? it's pretty, pretty naive, isn't it? it's optimistic. but also, let's say we do pause. let's say we go, "all right, we won't do anything "for six months while we think about safety." do you think china's going to pause? do you think russia's going to pause? do you think north korea, if it's doing anything, is going to pause? we don't know. and it feels a bit like that kind of arms race moment, doesn't it, where nobody wants to put their weapons down first? there's a massive rush to try and regulate this space, but nobody�*s really sure how to do it. you know, can you do it by territory? this is a global thing that everybody�*s using everywhere. just recently, google fired one of its top engineers for saying he thought it was getting to be sentient. what does that mean, anyway? what does sentient mean?
