30. p.m. after deputies are alerted to a carjacking. taking law enforcement through jurisdictions hijacking another car along the way. after he leaves a freeway, california highway patrol pulls what's called a pit maneuver. sending the car careening into a vehicle and ultimately stopping the car. >> it looks like a pit. whoa. >> but the man isn't done. >> there he is. suspect. he has the the gun in his hand. shooting in the air. suspect is running with that weapon in his hand. >> reporter: the suspect takes cover in the barbecue restaurant reportedly filled with 80 people. >> he ran inside this chris and pits. just imagine what kind of panic is going on inside that restaurant right now. >> i see a guy, blue shirt, bald, rush in. very paniced. agitated. rushes in. rushes to the to go box where i am working. points a gun at me demand for water. i need water.
