will be remembered for being confusing. it's been shifting the track, and as it came close, it bounced east. missed us in any real way. this morning it was pretty fr frisky out here at 5:00 in the morning when we were checking things out. since then it's been bands of rain. here's the problem. it hit block island, about ten nautical miles off the eastern tip of the southern shore of long island. mon montague, ten miles away is block island. small place, 2500 residents maybe in peak season. what happened on that island? we don't know yet. those reports will start coming out. then the storm tracked to the west. and now it is slowing down. now, what does that mean? the wet part of a storm, one step backwards, most dangerous part of a storm, northeast quadrant. you never want to be there. if that's where you're hit, it's the whip of the force of the wind. okay? it's like a turbo around there.
