If you take at his words as outrageous as they are and if you look at his action and members of the party knows whats going on here. They are both silent in a sky thats blacked out. We find one lone star, a governor who wants to speak truth to power. Mailin ballots have been with us forever. That peaceful transfer of power is what the people of this country rely on when they go to vote. They dont usually talk about their inprocess investigations and theyre really not supposed to talk about any investigations that are done during an election because they dont want to affect the election but there you go. They said more than that. The word from the offices, it was done by this Third Party Contractor that this is how they got in, they have a whole rational explanation for it. It has no proof in it from their own investigations that there is any intent to discard biden or trumps ballots. Why didnt he tell you that or add on whats known . Some stream . The assumption that these ballots were from the primary. I chase down the facts and talked todd the u. S. Attorney and talked to the district attorney, these were military ballots that had been sent out for the general election. Here is the situation, we have now learned the facts and we have learned as you said in the promo, this was a Seasonal Worker who made a mistake. He was caught by the county worker who reported to his boss and immediately went to Law Enforcement and conducted a proper investigation and now we know as i said to you last night there are clerical issues and there are criminal issues. This was a clerical issues. Those brave souls who were serving in the military overseas can contact the board of elections to determine whats the next step they need to take about their ballots. Lets not ignore the broader issue here. While this is all going on in the ground, we have a president in the United States going out and spewing this irresponsible nonsense, trying to create a narrative that suits his aim of creating chaos in our community when we should be taking a deep breath and figure out what the facts are. Now we have the facts and the facts dont meet the president s rhetoric. Not all that difference on the feedbacks facts of coronavirus. He wants to change all the facts and ignore all the information. We have 200,000 dead in this country and people continue to be sick in any state and others. He tries to manipulate facts and creates chaos. We have a president of the United States putting out these bogus and irresponsible Conspiracy Theory to stoke people up and make them feel like somehow their votes and their participation in our democracy is meaningless, to try to take away their power in this process. At the end of the day, the people have the power and it is up top us on your show and in our communities and on our timeline on social media to deal with facts and not the fiction and to calm nerves and focus on protecting our democracy. Ifr a lot of confidence in the federal Law Enforcement officials op rigerating on the ground here. I work with them everyday and including the United States attorney whos involved in this case. We have a strong and productive way here in pennsylvania, what i find remarkable is that before they were able to complete their jobs, the white houses press secretary, the president of the United States spewing all these craziness and making it harder for Law Enforcement to do our job and have the integrity of our system and have faith in our process. Thats our job. I hear about the people on the ground, i am not going after everybody. I just pulled a couple of things. This stinks to me how this was handled. What they try to do is magnify extreme voices on both ends of the political spectrum. And i think thats what we are seeing today in connection with sustained effort to diminish our confidence in our election, our confidence in our common identity as americans. Chris, after the 2016 election, the russian activity went way up. This is the Internet Research agency, this is kind of Front Organization for the g ru and the successors of the kgb. Hillary clinton won the election because of a rigged election. Well, with donald trump when he won, it kind of priced the usur russians. Well, donald trump would have won the popular vote if the election were rigged. It is really an effort to diminish our confidence in the results. They supported far right groups and left groups. What they wanted to do is destroy our consensus of what it means to be americans. I want to talk to you about White Supremacists and this is fascinating. It is called battleground. The idea that russia does not really need to do anything. All the words i just played for you came out of the president s mouth. Right. You have said here and according to my reporting when you are in the white house, you got to stop this. You can make the same point a lot of different ways but dont tear at this stuff because we are fighting it back. What does it mean to you to hear the president say the things you are trying to stop russia from planning . It is just wrong, chris, we are not only regrettable but damage to our democracy and plays into russias hands. This is true across the political spectrum. The president says things that are damaging and what i have found and described in different parts of the book is the reaction is just as damaging. What i would say to all political leaders, the president , those who oppose him and greatest supporters, anybody that this involved in this partisan debate that we have going on right now, dont be our worst enemies. On any issue, i wish we can begin the discussion on what we agree on because i think americans would find, hey, we agree quite a bit to make our nation better and secure a future for our nations to come.
