I do think we can learn more about his meetings with russian officials, which even though there was a lot of scrutiny about the fact that other members of the Armed Services committee in the senate didnt meet with the ambassador from russia, i still sympathy thi the real problem is lack of disclosu disclosure. I do think its plausible and very believable that Jeff Sessions being one of the few people that was close to donald trump when he was a candidate and of people not having a read on him, that certain people would want to meet with him to get to know him and troy to get an understanding through people close to him what his administration might be like. And my point is had he simply disclosed the meeting, i dont think e we would be here. I dont think Jeff Sessions would have recused himself from the russia investigation. The other part that was very interesting from this court is that they said National Security is not some incantation that can just be said by the president in order to justify any and all actions. So theres some pretty strong words, even from this opinion. Much has been made, and for good reason, of the president s tweets and his campaign statements. If you take all of that out of the equation and focused on the legality of this. Whats on paper, if this was issued by george bush, would it be legal . Right, so what the ninth Circuit Court of appeals did in yesterdays opinion is said were not going to take that analysis route. Were going to present you with another reason for why this travel ban is against immigration laws and what they did was they said is they went to the provision that a lot of people have focused on in it recent months where it talks about the president has the broad powers to suspend entry of people into the United States when he makes a finding that it is detrimental to the interests of the american people.
