Here is the thing, ryan is speaking for many whose concern need to be addressed for trump to win. If ryans concerns can be concerned about trump can be satisfied on issues like nato and trade and entitlements, that might encourage others to take a second look at presumptive nominee. Paul ryan is a very serious, thoughtful policy guy. Hes a policy wonk, and he feels strongly. He is principle and wants to advance it. I think that donald trump has had very were few and sparse policy positions and the ones hes had has been conflicted or contradictory at times. I think thats a great concern for the speaker. Its not only a concern for the speaker and then not many others for congress and then a lot of voters around the country. Well, youre making my point if he can satisfy paul ryan, there could be others, like charlie dent, who come along as well. Now, theres a contrary argument and Rush Limbaugh articulated it. Lets listen. If trump in order to get ryans support, moves to the republican agenda, its not good for trump. That would be an error. Trump is where he is precisely because hes not perceived as being part of that. Now theres a nominee, i feel that paul ryan is correct, the nominee needs to listen to folks like the speaker who are serious about setting a thoughtful, aspirational message for the party.
