We were talking earlier about the many executive orders the president signed in the first 100 days. This is from the washington post. Take a look. Contrary to the administrations assertion, that number is not a significant milestone for the president , talking about the number of executive orders. More than half of the 29 orders issued as of thursday have merely called for reviews, Commission Report to establish panels to issue recommendations. They lay out a dizzying schedule days. 120, and 180 they hardly represent the immediate actions the president and his age heralded they would bring the washington. Aides heralded they would bring to washington. This policy and span of you rely for quite some time. We talked earlier about the Approval Ratings of the president. C. Is is from cnn or 44 approve of his handling of the presidency. 54 disapprove. That puts trump last and Approval Ratings for newly elected president s at the 100 day point since modern polling began. It runs back to dwight eisenhower. If you dig deeper into the data, you will see americans give the president higher marks for his handling of Foreign Affairs and National Security issues. Lets go to janet calling in from wisconsin. What do you make of the first 100 days . Caller i make it he is trying. Democrat and i became a republican, and then i voted republican. I am not sorry. Get him a chance. Thats all im saying. This hundred days thing is stupid. It takes longer than that for anyone to get this political mess in washington to do something about it. All im saying is give the man a chance. To me he is doing as much or more than a lot of other president s and their Political Parties have done. Thank you so much. I wanted to say we had another republican president that didnt have a very good 100 days. Abraham lincoln. His first 100 days were not very good. It all turned out pretty well and hes considered one of our greatest president s. I think the southern leaders at the time, they were willing to divide our country over the southern economy. To fight for the southern economy based on free trade, no tariffs. Kotten going to england and france and all over the world. Cotton going to england and france, and slave labor. Free trade, not fair trade. And basically slave wages overseas. I dont put a lot of credence in the 100 days because i would not judge any football coach or basketball coach or any coach for that matter on their first 100 days into a new job. I think it takes about four years to really say whether you have a good basketball coach or a good football coach. I dont put a lot of credence in the polls. This thing started when during the clinton era. They all said trump did not have a chance. He did not have a chance to win the republican nomination. He did have a chance to win the general election. I dont put a lot of credit in these polls. Even up to the night of the election basin hillary was going to win. On jobs, before he was elected President Trump and Vice President pence were saving jobs and convincing ceos to keep their plants here for workers. On Border Security i think its already been a more secure border on the southern border. Lets want open borders, do away with the coast guard and really open up the borders if that is what you want. On health care, people from 55 to 65 are getting hammered. Both democrats and republicans should be working to do something about the cost of health care. At least the Supreme Court is working again. We have nine Supreme Court justices. Overall i think things are going the right direction. Its a team effort. Let me quote something robert frost said, one of our great poets. In order to build relationships with reac each other, you had to assimilate. Here they dont do that because we had allowed immigration to get out of control, so they dont feel they have to assimilate. I have neighbors here. They are korean and dont even say hello to each other. And they are koreans. Two koreans on each side. I have armenians on either side of me and they dont say hello to each other. Young children born in this country dont even speak english. Why are they speaking english . Re anybody even hi out of the nationality. And we are supposed to build a country on that . You cant build a country on that. This is what trump. Is all about he is trying to unite the people. He is not trying to divide the people like obama did. Obama was a big divider. He was not a uniter. And trump is trying to show the people that he is for them. He is not trying to divide this nation. I think we should all be behind him. You go in with your resume and you humbly ask for the right to intervene, they dont interview you. As a white guy i do feel discriminated against sometimes. I understand black people have felt that for generations. Hispanics have felt it. I believe in diversity, but diversity means you got to interview a black guy, one hispanic i, one asian guy, one white guy. All i would say is be true. If you are going to be diverse, be honest about university at your institution. If its a college or Government Entity hiring. One of my professors at college described it like this. The nfl instituted a policy for they have to interview black men as coaches. All of a sudden we got some great black coaches because they had interview guys they would never have interviewed. The owners found out, hey, this guy has what im looking for. They would have never interviewed that guy in the first place. Can we have equal opportunity at the beginning . You cant force equal outcomes because people are different. But you can have equal opportunity at the door where you interview people. Thats all i would ask for. We look a little deeper than color and we interview when we have a job. We interview all people. Thats my time. I think republicans are about family and occupation. Of course, recreation.
