Maria the closest point where the tornado got closest, we were 50 feet or so from the tornado but it was very compact so it was a skinnier tornado. We were able to get a good idea where it was and keeping our distance from it the tornado was moving north. It is exciting. I felt safe at the time. You could feel the wind around you and see the tornado very well. Sometimes there is a lot of rain with these storms and that could be a concern. That is when i felt more scared when there is a lot of rain because it is tough to see where the tornado is but in this case dust was being picked up, you could see the wind field, not too bad, didnt cause much damage, stayed on the north side of town.
