Even at that meeting, again, they knew this was a hot topic, that parents would show up. This is a tightknit community. Residents here are passionate about the education of their kids. That beat expectations. 6. 6 . Both numbers higher than we expected to see, steve. Theyre higher than markets expected. Thats going to be a problem for markets. Theyre going to get nervous now. That means the fed has an even harder job than they thought they had. This number is higher than any number weve seen since august of 1982. Yeah. Steve the Stock Market Futures are selling off. A sharp reversal. Inflation continues to be worse than expected. I want you to Pay Attention to the core number, that 6. 6 increase. What that means is that inflation has reached deeper and deeper into the economy. Its spread farther and going to be harder to get out. Steve exactly. If these are the prices are going to increase, i need to see higher wages. That gets baked into the calculus for businesses, keeping the numbers elevated. But now the inflation is outpacing the wages. Every day youre losing money. Exactly the story thats happening right now. People are falling further and further behind.
