A latebreaking development, the president s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani dealing with the russia investigation, Robert Mueller have special counsel probe making big news tonight. He was on cnn suggesting he and the president never suggested Campaign Aides in the 2016 Trump Campaign could have colluded with russians it but in his previous comments giuliani as saying he was only referring to the president himself did not collude with the russians saying in the interview it would only have been a crime if the president had colluded with the russians to hack the dnc emails. He said nothing like that happened so theres no crime here which seemed to leave the door open to the possibility Trump Campaign ad site Paul Manafort and others could have and i stress could have colluded with the russians. Thats different from what the president has set on a dozen occasions when he tweeted and city news conferences and Public Comments that there was no collusion at all, not with Campaign Aides. Giuliani was pressed about manafort sharing polling data with ukrainians, insisting i am not sure the attorney was saying about what might have happened with Campaign Aides. I never said there was no collusion between the campaign or between people in the campaign. There is not a single bit of evidence the president of the United States committed the only crime you can commit here conspiring with the russians to hack the dnc. The significance is whether or not this was a deliberate attempt to open the door to the possibility of others colluding with the russians or having some sort of conversation that can be construed that way in advance of Robert Muellers final report which we expect to come as early as february. That is going to be the story that is getting a lot of pick up in the hours ahead.
