his kind of campaign style is bound to help one of these two candidates. reporter: we are seeing enthusiasm on the democratic side as well and i think that's one of the reasons to account for joe biden doing particularly well on super tuesday when he came out with 14 states. seems the democrats are trying to coalesce around joe biden as the candidate that they believe has the best shot as beating president trump in november. we will see if that holds true with the upcoming states that will vote this tuesday on march the tenth but look there's no doubt about it that democrats are energized in their own way and wanting to have someone move forward as their standardbearer who can be president trump and some of the tough states michigan and pennsylvania and wisconsin that president will drop one in 2016. jon: the impeachment effort as you mention in the house and senate really seemed to backfire against democrats when it comes to republican enthusiasm. reporter: well it has. the idea here was that decreased enthusiasm among republican voters certainly hasn't happened and what we are seeing is a record number when you compare it to 2012 which is a good comparison. of course that was when president obama was running for his re-election. we saw and record number of republicans coming out to support president trump even though he has nominal competition in any of the primaries. jon: let's take a look at the primaries coming up on march 10, the states that are going to be voting. idaho is offering 20 delegates up for grabs and michigan 125 michigan 36 north dakota 14 and washington 89. perhaps that's the reason joe biden is at this moment speaking in kansas city, missouri holding something of a rally there. it's not super tuesday but what happens march 10 is going to go a long way toward helping clear up this race on the democratic side. reporter: you're absolutely right and michigan is the biggest prize, 125 delegates in that state there. ernie stand -- bernie sanders is spending a lot of time in michigan. q1 over hillary clinton in 2016 but there's a feeling among the biden folks that they can win michigan in the same feeling among the electorate in michigan that we saw happen in minnesota which joe biden one less than a week ago will occur in michigan as well. i think that could be the end of the line if indeed bernie sanders loses michigan but i think it would be essentially a freight train he could not stop the joe biden wins michigan on tuesday. jon: joe biden's cane -- campaign left for dead after iowa and he comes roaring back and remove onto march 17 in the primaries there. the big prize florida with 219 delegates arizona was 67 illinois 155 in neighboring ohio 136. again that's going to clarify this race if it hasn't, fait accompli already. reporter: bernie sanders has the money to continue with this process. there's no doubt about that. >> a fund-raising machine on the democratic side so if he is disappointed with the results coming from this tuesday in michigan and washington the two biggest states that have delegates at stake he can keep going and certainly try to reset the rate in a state like florida. that's a state that joe biden feels he can do particularly well in that this is a process with a two-man race a process that can go on for some time. jon: i want to point out something that mystifies a lot of market watchers. it's the jobs number from this week are you they away the predictions, 273,000 jobs added in this country the unemployment rate at 3.5%. hourly earnings are up 3% year-over-year and yet the stock our kids all fell. is that just coronavirus? reporter: it really is. its forward-looking and there is a lot of fear and a lot of panic right now among traders and other relates to coronavirus. remember it's a global market not just focused on the united states. we have not seen the problems that countries like south korea and italy are having right now concerning the coronavirus. i do think that is why we saw those major declines in the financial markets over the course of this past week. as you point out the fundamentals of the u.s. economy are so incredibly strong record low unemployment, the jobs numbers 273,000 jobs created last month, those are the kinds of numbers that any president would like to run for election on. jon: jon decker is the fox radio white house correspondent, thank you. reporter: thanks a lot. jon: or should it catch "fox news" and itamar went host chris wallace interviews democratic presidential candidate bernie sanders on the race for the white house and dr. anthony fauci director of the national institute of allergy and infectious diseases on the latest effort to fight the coronavirus. check your local listings for times on your local fox affiliate or catch it on the "fox news" channel 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. eastern time. coming up the "fox news" exclusive why international fees are coming to arizona to illegally dig up and sell cacti on line plus an update on the doomsday cult case that the fbi releases new images of the two missing children from idaho. what authorities are learning now. has clinically proven ingredients that fuel 5 indicators of brain performance. memory, focus, accuracy, learning, and concentration. try neuriva for 30 days and see the difference. to bring all of these stories thatity i've heard to life. i wanted to keep digging, keep learning... this journey has just begun. bring your family history to life like never before. get started for free at ancestry.com (sensei) beautiful. but support the leg! when i started cobra kai, the lack of control over my business made me a little intense. but now i practice a different philosophy. quickbooks helps me get paid, manage cash flow, and run payroll. and now i'm back on top... with koala kai. hey! more mercy.
