And it takes if you look at a private hospital and you see innovating ways maybe its app. On your phone can you get a doctors appointment. New technology that works. Profit incentive behind it. The most important issue right now is to preserve the constitution. If the next president appoints a progressive justice, throw on top of that replacing ginsburg and breyer, you are going to have five progressive all that liberal justices that will rewrite the constitution in the next 25 years of america is going to be changed. My number one thing was give me a list of candidates that you will pick from and pledge to pick from that list. If those names are names that i can support, i will support you. Endorse or support . Which one is this . Im 100 . Thats endorse. Thats endorse. Its not endorse light. The most important issue is preserving the constitution of this country and a liberal Supreme Court will destroy it. Have you heard them say it the constitution is a living, breathing document. Donald trump has cast his lot and said i know those people, many of those folks on this list. A couple of them i made suggestions to be on that list. They are solid folks. They will preserve the constitution. And that is the most important thing we can have in this election. All right. You are a gentleman. You have always been a in all my dealings with you. What do you think of this ad . I mean, going after bill clinton . Its a reminder i mean i lived through the clinton years. I served 8 years in congress. Is this good for our discourse . No. I dont think you will see a lot of good for discourse over the next several months from either camp. I think this is going to be a bad discourse several months. Are any sort of the endorsers on either side of the aisle suggesting to their candidates maybe they ought to tone it down and focus more on sort of the real issues instead of this what were hearing tonight . And expect to hear more. All i can say is that if you look at what trump has done throughout the course of this campaign, he has been very real. And laid it all out on the
line and talked about things that most politicians would dare not talk about. Its worked actually very well for him. I think americans maybe just want a little unvarnished. And i cant say that im crazy about it. But, the reality is that bill and Hillary Clinton during their time was there. Most of the conversation was about scandal. And not a lot about whats best for the country. Let me ask you about the clinton ad. Do you think thats a good ad . You know, donald trump is a businessman, and i think most people will look at that ad say well, is he in business. If there is an opportunity to buy, when prices are low, and things get bad, you need people like donald trump to come in and buy and build again. Are we ever going to turn this around . Each election cycle seems to get rougher and rougher and rougher and farther away from the real challenges for the American People. I would love to say that this race is going to be about policy, but i dont think its going to be about policy. I think its going to be about personalities. I think its going to be
about character and leadership. I think the American Public has made up their mind about Hillary Clinton. I think donald trump still has an opportunity to cast the right lot and win this election. You are seeing a divide between the house, you know, congress and the white house. You are seeing, i think, paul ryan do something very clever here. Every house speaker, of course, does not want the president to use executive orders it undermines their own power. And what you are seeing here, i think, is speaker ryan kind of glomming on to this very negative connotation that executive orders have had among republicans in particular because of obamas use of them. And he is trying to move that and sort of grab on to that narrative for a republican president. And thats whats so interesting. You cant really imagine sort of a Speaker Pelosi saying this about obama as he was walking into the house in 2008. So, as the conversation maybe goes on behind closed
doors now, now we are actually seeing it. Daniel, why is he doing this . I assume that he wants to get a republican president and so by sending this sort of message out there, is he creating a little bit of sort of a stink bomb in the republican party. Why is he doing this and now paul ryan . I think he is tactically trying to box him in as annie is suggesting. Its a little early. It is a little early. He goes to a deeper point which is he stunt know what kind of President Donald Trump would be. Endorse him at this point. Why not suggesting quiet . He didnt have to speak out on, this did he. He wants to endorse him. He has suggested that must bely. I think he is going to get there he just needs a couple concessions. High stakes negotiations trying to push him in another direction. There is no indication this is how obama could govern before he came into office. Is he a constitutional law professor. It was not so abundantly clear that he would be like this. I think getting some
concessions out of donald trump is something paul ryan wants to do in order to help lay the parameter so he can endorse him . Its a concession that my godness i cant imagine donald trump making. I looked back to what the last president of the United States who didnt issue executive orders president harrison. This is a guy who was in office all of 31 days before he died. I just dont think i cant imagine a president trump, you know, giving up that kind of power. I know he mentioned it, too. As the parties are trying to show unity is that they might want to wait until a little bit later in the game, i think, than now. Who knows. There is a lot going on in Political Parties right now. I think he has proven is he not beholden to anyone. He has got the nomination from American People not from corporations. I think he has done what he needed to do, again, now we are going to raise some money because its unrealistic to run a billiondollar race without doing that. In doing my research, i see constant reference that he has lent his campaign. And its about 43 million, i think, so far that he has lent the campaign. Does he intend to be paid back that 43 million or is he truly did he selffund to this point . No. Thats his point and he said that vocally. He has selffunded that that
is his money and contribution to the country. He has put in a lot of money, probably more than any politician in history to get there he wants the American People again to know he is not beholden to them. Now that he is the leader of the party he has a responsibility to make sure that we win and take the white house and hold the house and senate in the upcoming elections. Okay. So that 43 million is not really a loan but a gift to his campaign . Correct. All right. And he is in new mexico. Governor Susanna Martinez who is a republican, she is not going to be at the event tonight. Is that a snub of your father. Honestly, i dont know. I think its something thats gone on over the last couple of months he has united a lot of people. If i look at the last few weeks, people are getting together. They are backing him. They understand he is the right guy. He is the person who can bring in other states. I dont know what her agenda and her schedule is. I have think he is more focused about the people of new mexico about bringing jobs back to this country and putting americans back to work rather than pandering. Ynk its a big issue. I think its something that he is going to deal with and
do what he needs to do in new next do and a state that will become critical later on in the race. I dont think the fact whether she shows up or not is not the big issue. One thing to your la dean know vote is 25 vote. To the effect that she is leading the latino, you know, making her part of the team is important. Well, listen, i think americans and many hardworking latino americans who are here legally also understand that they are about jobs and job creation. They want to preserve those jobs.
