And here we go again. Donald trump is denying a firestorm of independent accusations from women who say he either kissed them or groped them without consent. In just the past 24 hours, reports have emerged from at least five different accusers who say they have come forward in response to the latest president ial debate when donald trump denied that he ever assaulted women. He said that while he was addressing a leaked video in which he claims he can grope women whenever he wants and sexually assault them because hes a celebrity. Again, he said that. Trump called it locker room talk. But these accusers say it was much more than that. Here are some of their stories. One woman tells People Magazine that the billionaire essentially attacked her while she was on assignment for his editors back in 2005 for a story on donald and Melania Trumps first wedding anniversary. The story goes like this. He says she was interviewing th when Melania Trump went upstairs to change clothes. Trump started giving her a tour and then wanted to show her what he calls a tremendous room. Trump shut the door behind us, i turned around and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat. She also writes, i was grateful when trumps longtime butler burst into the room a minute later as i tried to unpin myself. Another woman said that donald trump groped her at the resort back in 2003. She was then 23 years old and helping a friend photograph a concert when trump grabbed her. Two other accusers have come forward to the New York Times. One of them is now 74 years old. She says she was sitting in first class next to trump on a flight more than three decades ago when he started groping her. He was like an octopus. It was like he had six arms. He was all over the pace. If he had stuck with the upper part of the body, i might not have gotten i might not have gotten that upset. Its when he started putting his hand up my skirt and that was it. The gop candidate for president. The woman says that she quickly moved to a different seat in the back of the plane. She also says she didnt complain because when it came to unwanted advances on women at the time, we were told it was our fault. Another accuser told the New York Times she was fresh out of college and working as a receptionist at trump tower back in 2005 when she introduced herself to trump outside of an elevator. The woman says he started kissing her on the cheek and then kissed her directly on the mouth. She told the times, it was so inappropriate, i was so upset that he thought i was so insignificant that he could do that. The womans boyfriend at the time tells the newspaper, what was more upsetting than him kissing her was that she felt like she couldnt do anything to him because of his position. Yet another accuser is a former miss usa pageant contestant who represented the state of utah in 1997. She tells nbc news that donald trump kissed her on the lips the first time she met him and continued kissing her on the lips in later encounters. The woman remembers being shocked and feeling, as she put it, super awkward. She also says she didnt come forward because donald trump was the pageants owner. The accusations in total have triggered an angry response from trump. He wrote this morning on twitter, the phony story in the New York Times is a total fabrication, written by the same people as last discredited story on women. Watch. Why didnt the writer of the 12yearold article in People Magazine mention the incident in her story . Because it did not happen. And then donald trump blamed all of the accusations on Hillary Clinton and a media conspiracy. Listen. Now we address the slander and libel that was just last night thrown at me by the clinton machine and the New York Times and other Media Outlets as part of a concerted, coordinated and vicious attack. Trump has bragged about his nonconsensual sexual touching of women and has bragged about intruding on beauty pageant contestants and trumps unwanted advances, nothing in our article has had the slight effect on the reputation that mr. Trump through his own words and actions hazard created for himself. The campaign denies it but nbc reports the decision came from trump headquarters here in manhattan. Officials are shifting their focus and resources to florida and ohio. But the Campaign Committee is reportedly spending no money on Television Ads anywhere, nothing. The polls now, the real clear politics polling average shows clinton is up by seven points in virginia. Trump cam pay officials blasted this report saying they are committed to that state and its clear to them that virginia is, as they put it, out of play for Donald Trumps campaign. Look, the Trump Campaign and Trump Supporters in virginia say this is a temporary break in their operation. They are shifting resources. But this is n the Clinton Campaign pulled ads since early august. Shes had a lead for months. It doesnt look like friendly terrain for donald trump. Thats a problem because its another pathway thats closed off the 270 electoral votes. Lisa, prior to the second debate, members within his campaign and highplace republican officials told all of us what we believe he needs to do is win over women in the suburbs around pittsburgh and philadelphia and other places like that and heres what we believe he needs to do to get them. He needs to get these educated women by giving them a list of things, none of which hes mentioned this. Its as if the Campaign Said heres how you get them and hes done Something Else. Do you have any idea why . That is the question of the day, isnt it . I mean, clearly this is a campaign that really is controlled by one man, and thats donald trump and donald trump obviously does not see that as a pressing need. In fact, hes been losing those collegeeducated white women in droves. Republicans have won white women for generations. And donald trump is likely to lose them. It makes it hard for them to win the white house and those voters are, as you point out, important swing voters and the suburbs of philadelphia, for example, of denver and columbus. And shes been targeting them and making very clear, very explicit in her messaging that shes the first elected female president. That argument didnt seem to convince people in the primaries. But with all of these allegations of how hes treated women over the years, its been a powerful motivator for these voters to switch sides. It does appear that way. When what youre doing isnt working, you usually change what you are doing. And when that sort of common thing isnt present, its worth further exploration. You know why i ask you, because if hes not trying to win those women, that means is he not trying to win the white house and if thats not what hes trying to do, what is he doing . Is he going for Something Else . Thats a really good question. Its certainly one that a lot of people have been asking these days. I mean, i think thats one explanation, right, that maybe he does have some other goal in mind. He says he wants to be president. He said it today at his rally. I think another explanation is that a lot of times you see with president ial campaigns, particularly in the end stages, that the people listening to the advice becomes an echo chamber. Hes hearing from his supporters and aides who say its working and not necessarily hearing from people outside that say, you know, that its not. The polling indicates that its not. In order for him to win florida, ohio, pennsylvania, he doesnt have a pathway to 270. Clinton has many more ways to get there and thats really the goal of the president ial campaign, is to maximize your path to 70. He just isnt doing that at this point.
