Supplies and everything, the masks, we were at a factory yesterday, a great company, and in a period of four days they took a big factory, and it was really most of the work done in four days. They took a big plan that did other things. It was complicated for us but we have unbelievable equipment. And doing millions of masks out of the factory, and that was because of the task force. Because of the people working within the administration. Something i didnt know, they take different layers of material and compress it and put it together because one layer is good for something else, one layer is good for tiny particles. You think of it as a mask, they make a very good this is something thats very special. So the task force will be around until we feel its not necessary but i will say that i learned yesterday, even after i spoke about the task force, and people said we should keep it going. So lets keep it going. We will be adding some people to it. We have a whole list of people that want to be on and we have a whole list of people that we want, and nobody i will say this. Nobody has ever turned me down to be on the task force. No one has turned me down for anything. And everybody wants to be on everything we do. Its very important we will be announcing i would say by monday, i would say two or three more members of the task force. It seems that by beginning the reopening process and continuing it there will likely be more cases of coronavirus, and more deaths. Will the nation except the idea that by reopening there will be more deaths . I cant keep the country close down for years and we have to do something. Hopefully that wont be the case but it could very well be the case. He wont be locked in a house, and some people should say if you are over a certain age. Especially elderly people with the problem. It attacks these people viciously. And i think we would be staying back in strongly recommending that we do that. We are saying over 60, especially if you have diabetes or heart problems or whatever problem you might have. But we have to get our country open again. And you see it, you cover it. People want to go back and you will have a problem if you dont do it. How close are we to a permanent problem . I dont think our people will stand for it. Now what i really believe you people will be able to do is add a certain age, they will stay back longer. Its going to disappear. Its a question of, will it come back in a small way or will it come back in a fairly large away. But we know how to deal with it now. We didnt know anything about it initially but now we know we can put out fires and put out embers if its small or if its a fire or a hot spot, we can put it out. But we cant have our whole country, we cant do it. Its not sustainable and i think we would have a tremendous transition. I think that will be incredible economically. And thats why we will have a great year next year economically. But i will say from an economic standpoint next year will be a very big year. You see the stock market, the stock markets are 24,000. Thats worse than this is worse than pearl harbor. He couldve been stopped at the source and could have been stopped in china, could have been stopped at the source and it wasnt. That your administration put out. President trump i have given leeway to the governors. And they are watching very closely. Theyve given leeway to the governors to make those decisions. With unemployment, theres some projection that Shows Unemployment could be a high of 50 . Are you worried about it President Trump its very interesting. Nobody is blaming me for that. I felt the greatest economy will with a lot of great people and we will rebuild it again. We cut taxes and we do things that you have to do, if somebody comes along and raises taxes and does all of my and this was artificially induced. This was an artificially induced unemployment. This is how we said, weve taken the greatest economy, almost 160 Million People and one day it turned off. Nothing like that has ever happened before. But by doing that we have saved millions of lives. But now we are going to make our comeback and the comeback is going to be a very strong one. I will be meeting you in a while because as you know we have a very big very quick question thats health care related. Today is last day for the white house who wants to modify his argument before the Supreme Court about invalidating obamacare to do it. Will you continue with the plan to completely invalidate the aca we are seeing with the group. But you understand, obamacare is a disaster but we have run it very well. It was at disaster under president obama, and its very that health care. But what we want to do is terminated. Including preexisting conditions. Now getting into the individual mandate, thats where for the privilege of paying the fee, you dont have to buy Health Insurance at a ridiculous price for not good Health Insurance, its a terrible thing. You are mandated to pay something in order not to pay and we got rid of that. Nobody thinks its ever going to come back. But what we are doing is we want to terminate health care and we are replacing it with a Great Health Care at far less money and it includes preexisting conditions. So what im saying is, we are going to replace obamacare with Great Health Care at a lesser price and preexisting conditions will be included and it was expensive and terrible and very unfair to everybody. Salts the suggestion was to pull back, so some of it is in place. President trump i dont know about that suggestion. Ive spoken up a lot about this to bill barr and we are totally in lockstep with a lot of the states that want to see much Better Health care. I dont view it as a termination, i view this as getting Great Health Care. I had a decision to make. We took over obamacare, got rid of the individual mandate which basically was the end of obamacare and in a formal sense it was the end of obamacare. A few people challenged me with the fact that we could do that. I had a decision to make. And everyone can say obamacare is terrible. Politically i could do the other. But i cant do that because im president for the people. We ran that much better than president obama ran it and much better than the last Administration Read it. And its still not good. But add a decision, do i want to run it . Great. Or do i want to run it really badly . Politically i should have run it but im glad i ran the decision to run a great. It still lousy health care. And always including and always having. Again, the individual mandate and preexisting conditions can be taken care of. So you said you would likely wear a mask at the mask factory. I had a mask on for a period of time. I had a mask but i didnt need it and i asked to head specifically should i wear a mask and he said, you dont need one. We were far away from the people making the masks. They were making the masks. But i did put a mask on and it was a honeywell mask, actually. They also had a 3m mask and i had about four other masks and i did have it on. I dont know if you saw it or not, but i had it on. How long did you wear it . Not long, i had it on backstage. But they said you didnt need it. And if you notice nobody else had it on that was in the group. We saw the workers wearing them. President trump yes, the workers had them because they are working next to each other. Did you social distancing and not Wearing Masks . President trump i cant help that. Look, im trying to be nice and signing a bill and you criticize us. Look, heres the story. Theres nothing i can do to satisfy the media, the democrats, or the fake news. And i understand that. We did the greatest mobilization and history with the ventilators and i dont think there was a story. We are helping germany and many other countries, france and spain and italy, by the way, and nigeria, sending 252 nigeria, ventilators. The cupboards were bare. People have no idea. Theres not a thing i can do to satisfy the fake news and theres not a thing i can do to satisfy democrats. I watch this phony chuck schumer, everyone in new york knows hes a total phony. He brought nothing back to new york except salt. Salt is bad tec tax policy. I watched him the other night on his show and all he could talk about was testing. Testing and testing. And yet i showed a chart yesterday where our testing was far superior to anyone elses testing. The other thing is very testing, and if i did little testing we could have practically no cases. China has more cases than us and other big countries. Talking about big countries, but they dont want to choose, they dont want to use that. The fact is theyve done better testing and more testing. In fact as of two days ago theyve done more testing than the entire world together. You had every country, every country together and weve done substantially more testing than the entire world together. We have more cases. So as we do more testing, they say they are very smart but very devious people and in many cases very bad people. We talked about the man sleeping behind you on the flo floor. Can you tell us, did it get bad where you were and whats the situation now compared to what it was . Theres always a lag time between what happens in real time, so the ppe and the ventilator situation, i got to the point where it was getting bad but manufacturing ramped up and i think those are two things that we knew we would take care of as a country. The third thing that we cant manufacture and have talked about this before is a doctor or a nurse who are essential personnel, we cant manufacture that. So that ended up being the weakest point for us on the front lines. We just didnt have enough people. It couldnt get there fast enough. President trump in one of the things we did was we sent in the military doctors and nurses and they did a fantastic job. We had a lot of the military, like we took the comfort because they didnt need the ship. We took the doctors and nurses and sent them all over new york and new jersey. We took doctors and nurses out of the convention center, the Javits Convention center and many of them went throughout new york. And we werent even supposed to have doctors in the convention center. But we ended up putting them there. So we had a lot of, because its true. Man and woman power was one of the toughest things. Cannot all of you are seeing now that the supplies are where they need to be . I think its sporadic. Certainly there are products pockets of areas where ppe is not ideal but this is an unprecedented time and the Infection Control measures that we learned back when we went to school, 1 gallon and one mask for one patient per day, this is a different time. Ive been reusing my n95 mask for a few weeks now, i just broke out a new one to come here in case i needed to wear it. To answer your question earlier we are all covid19 free, weve all been tested. Speak to everyone has been tested. I hope the test works. We are all tested and we are all negative and thats why we are not socially distancing and why we are not Wearing Masks. Ive had several tests throughout this whole covid19 crisis. I practice in new orleans at a Community Health center and my youngest patient has been four days old, a 4dayold infant. So ppe has been sporadic but it has been manageable. We do what we have to do. We are nurses and we learn to adapt and do whatever we can do with our patients to get the job done and the care provided and thats what we will continue to do as covid19 continues. President trump sporadic for you but not sporadic for a lot of other people. I agree, mr. President. President trump i have heard that they are loaded up with gallons now. We had empty shelves and empty nothing because it wasnt put there by the last administration. Ive heard, they are making millions of masks per month. In a factory from in that case it was arizona. It was great. We have other factories being built for masks and for the most part it was fine but i have heard we have a tremendous supply to almost all places. Tremendous supply to the point where we are going to start having some of our supply go to other countries which is needed very badly. Do you have a good supply . I would like to add one thing, too. This is a supervisor where i work at the end my assistant director, he said, you know what . You guys take care of nursing and we will make sure we have the supply. When we all talk about this, we are seeing the reality of it but to hear it on constantly, theres not enough, theres not enough, in reality im not seeing it. Remember, its close to new yo new york. You know what . Because they are fake news. I appreciate you saying that. Its so nice that you stepped up because that fake news when i took over, its different. Now i will say this. There was a period of time between russia, russia, and all the stuff that these characters put us through, despite that ive done more than any other president in history and you can look at that from anyway want to look at it. Thats a level that nobody has ever come close to. To saving the Second Amendment which is under siege by the way. I really appreciate your statement. That was very beautiful. I remember at the beginning of this crisis, you are right. The reason we did such a good job is because we have factories all over doing masks, and a lot of countries, they sent us masks that were total garbage and they were defective and they sent us other equipment which was defective. And so now we are building our own masks and we are making a bye the millions and the honeywell in arizona was the case in point. That was something to see, id never seen anything like it. I never realize as we put different layers, its not just taking a thing and wrapping it but certainly not inside of a hospital. We ended up, we had an empty covered, and we have tremendous testing, and we are doing the antibodies very shortly which you probably know. There are lots of people who dont believe in such big testing. 15 different ways. Mostly thats the media. Certain things cant be done but we have tremendous testing right now. And you see that chart, i dont have it with me now but they have it someplace in the room. When you see the chart that i put up yesterday as i was interviewed by one of your friends on abc, that chart says it better than anything i can say. You saw the line going, we are like a rocket ship and everyone else is down here investing. I appreciate the fact we see what comes in. The quality of the gallons, the quality of the masks. We have 1 billion gloves. 1 billion gloves. At the beginning we had none. When this all started we had none. Its one of the greatest mobilizations, its a war and its been very successful. The initial forecast showed the real decline in the code would be june 1st. The latest forecast has push that back to august and im wondering what the ramifications might be particularly for schools. President trump i will just addressed one part of that. The school should open. Especially if they question. I think you are referring to the model that looks at mortality. The mortality is variable and thats a model from 60,000 to 134,000. You can see the rate of new hospitalizations has gone dramatically down and so we are following that and mortality very closely. So we all know about models and we have represented here on new orleans which have moved through. Its working through a very difficult time. The country has moved its individuals and what we are so proud about is how much the governors are using testing in a focused way so they are not just diagnosing the individuals that come to the hospital system, they are proactively going out and testing in Nursing Homes and testing everybody when they see one case at a meatpacking plant. This is allowing us insight and you can appreciate the media calling out the asymptomatic thread because weve been talking about it for two months. Now finally its getting picked up that there is a symptomatic spread and thats why the governor is using that Strategic Trust mike testing to ensure that the most vulnerable, those in disadvantaged areas of the city and multigenerational households, those in group housing, those in Nursing Homes and prisons, they are aggressively doing what we are calling surveillance. Weve been proud to watch the governors pick up on the federal guidelines. Do you think we will be in a place its a county by county and state by state decision and thats how we are collecting data. And unfortunately any mortalities, and they inform the public in a very big way. They be more careful . President trump i would like to see schools open wherever possible which is i think in most of the country. I would say that until everything is perfect, i think that the teachers that are of certain age, perhaps he would say over 60, especially if they have a problem with heart or diabetes or any one of a number of things, i think they should not be Teaching School for a while and everyone would understand that fully. That we understand. But other than that you see how well children seem to do, its incredible. And we realize how strong children are, your immune system is a little bit different, maybe just a little bit stronger or maybe its a lot stronger, could be a lot stronger. One of the news pieces that has been out there was that there was talk yesterday that there might have been winding down of the Coronavirus Task force. The president is now saying in the oval office that its very popular and very prestigious and a very good task force and it looks like it will be around for a while, but maybe not giving daily briefings. I think he was saying it was going to continue but take on a different form. They may be have different players inside that Coronavirus Task force and kind of evolve if you will. It was interesting, he asked why he was going to wind it down but then he said it would continue indefinitely and he said he didnt realize how popular it was. I think that evolution was on its way to happening and as the president does he is this different semantics about how things are transitioning. The other thing i took away from it is this interesting focus on health care and whether there is going to be this fight
