Some appointments are being scheduled two weeks out. How desperate are people sounding on the phone . Really desperate. They want us to service them then and there. Meanwhile traffic is moving again on the san mateo bridge but wasnt the case a couple of hours ago. This is sky 7 hd overhead. That car flipped over koez closing all eastbound lanes on the bridge. It happened around 2 00 this afternoon. You can see the backup it created. All lanes were reopened within an hour. Luckily no serious injuries at that accident. Cleanup crews on the scene this afternoon. Sky 7 hd was over the spill near lucas valley road. A big rig overturned this morning. That spilled around 300 gallons of paint. The road is not expected to reopen until 10 00 tonight. The afternoon commute over the bay bridge hopefully wont be the same nightmare drivers faced this morning. Sky 7 hd was over the bumper to bumper conditions after the motorcycle accident caused the massive accident. It took drivers more than an hour to cross the bridge into San Francisco. Fire investigators revealing new details about this mornings destructive fire. They say drug use in a van sparked the flames that injured seven people and burned four homes. Amy hollyfield was at the scene with the latest. Reporter a bay point man woke up around 1 15 this morning and found himself in the middle of this, a huge fire burning his home, three others and two cars. When i woke up i looked out my window and saw red stuff. Reporter when he opened the door the smoke hit him hard. He couldnt go through it. So he went to the window in the back of the house which was blocked by an ac unit and a plank of wood. He managed to push it out only to find he was still surrounded by fire. The man came in with a hose from the neighbor. Reporter he was one of seven people treated for smoke inhalation. Four were taken to the hospital. Gonzalez is okay. The look at his mothers emotion and relief says it all. I thought i was going to lose my life. I dont know how i made it out. Reporter gonzalez says there was no doubt in his mind his neighbors were to blame. His mother knew it, too. She told firefighters to focus on the van always parked in the drive way. There is always smoke in there. I dont know how many guys pile in every single day. Many, many guys. Reporter it didnt take investigators long to figure this one out. We think the fire was caused through the use of Illegal Drugs in that van. Reporter gonzalezs mother says there are no words to describe her anger. That could have cost the life of my son. This person is a coward. No injuries were reported in either of todays incidents. So far only one person has been hurt and she suffered only minor injuries. Lawmakers and activists rallied urging americans to take a stand against gun violence. Among those leading was the father of alison parker, the tv reporter shot to death during a live broadcast. Andy parker called on supporters to do whatever it takes to prevent more americans from dying. The overwhelming majority of americans agree with common sense reforms but too many members of congress remain in the pocket of the gun lobby and that has got to change. He called on congress to pass legislation that would strengthen background checks for gun buyers. Local groups stage small groups nationwide. The group set up information table at union square. The group is urging people to call their Congress Person and demand action on legislation to reduce gun violence which they say kills 88 americans every year. Police in new york city are trying to deal with the fallout of mistaken arrest of james blake. The commissioner is apologizing after officers wrestled him to the ground. Earlier this Afternoon Police commissioner bill bratten called blake on the phone and apologized and blake said in a statement that while he accepts the apology he wants to make sure the Police Department is aware he will not be satisfied until the officers involved are held accountable. I think most cops are doing a great job of keeping us safe. When you police you need to be held accountable. Reporter according to police the incident is under investigation.
