Six soldiers were hurt when a vehicle slammed into them and right now there is a huge man hnlt under way to find the driver. Those soldiers were standing guard in a paris suburb. Police say it looked like it intentionally targeted the soldiers. Of the six injures, four have small injuries, the other two, more serious. This is not the first time a vehicle has been used in an attack in paris and there have been several attacks targeting Security Forces in france. In the south bay, crews are working to clean up a huge mess left after a crane collapsed on top of a home. Sky 7 was over the scene yesterday afternoon. It was dark by the time crews uprighted the crane. It clipped two backyard sheds before crashing onto a roof of a home. Overnight, crews were able to move the crane from the narnd. You can see from these live pictures the area is still active with work crews. Right now, theyre trying to remove other equipment. Its still unclear why the crane tipped over. No one got hurt. Developing news. Southwest Airlines Says everything is back to normal after a computer glitch caused delays last night. Heres a live look at sfo this morning. Officials say they experienced an issue with the system that delivers data to planes which prevented planes from leaving. It affected 120 flights. All but seven took off. Four were in Orange County where theres a curfew and the others had crew rest legality issues. New developments in the effort to build Affordable Housing for teachers in san jose. Earlier this morning, the San Jose CityCouncil Voted against that plan. The mercury news reports three councilmen oppose the vote. A woman who owned a vacant lot wanted it to be rezoned to build 14 affordable residential units specifically for teachers. Opponents argue the commercial land should be used for businesses and rezoning it could be a slippery slope. A new development in the google diversity memo controversy. The man who wrote the memo said he filed a complaint before he was fired on monday. He claimed he was subjected to coercive statements while at google. The memo argued women dont have the biological makeup to succeed in silicon valley. He claims his firing was illegal retaliation against the labor complaint he made. Google says it didnt know anything about that complaint. Hes now considering legal action. Googles ceo will address staff about the controversy in a town hall meeting tomorrow. New developments in the road rage suspect facing arson charges for the fire that burned for several days in the berkeley hills. They arrested Alfredo Bautista of concourt last week. He pleaded not guilty in court yesterday. Heres cornell bernard. You can see the smoke. Bob saw last wednesdays fire begin in the oakland hills, which took three days to put out. According to court documents. 24yearold alfredo bautia confested to a Police Officer he started the plaz with a cigarette lighter. Anybody who starts a fire, especially up here, or anywhere where its dry, has to have something wrong with them. Before the fire began, police say bautista tried robbing two victims at gunpoint. They were sitting on their car on grizzly peak boulevard. Drewann says she took off in her car to get away from bautista, but he chased her. He followed me in a stolen vehicle. And he crashed into me repeatedly until i lost control of my car. This was the result. She crashed her pt cruiser into a parked car. The suspect eventually ran away. Hours after the fire began, witnesses saw bautista trying to steal a car at the Lawrence Berkeley lab. But witnesses stopped him until uc police arrived. Bautista is charged with arson, attempted robbery, assault, and car theft. A Pretrial Hearing is set for august 15th. In oakland, cornell bernard, abc7 news. Another warning to starbucks cust mms by Alameda Police this morning after another robbery of a personal laptop. Last weekends theft is now the third such grab and run at an alameda starbucks, and the second at the park street location. This is video of the location of the last robbery, less than two weeks ago at atlantic avenue and webster street. All of the robberies have occurred inside the stores. A man in the hospital this morning with burns and other injuries he suffered climbing an electrical tower in santa rosa. He was electrocuted. He fell to the ground 80 feet below. An evacuation advisory in lake county has been lifted. Firefighters recommended people leave their homes yesterday because of a brush fire. It burned 75 acres near highway 175. Investigators believe it started because of a traffic accident. Homes were also evacuated in novato after live wires fell into a swimming pool. Firefighters were responding to a deck fire. That deck was destroyed. No one was hurt. School Officials Say a change in contractors is partially to blame for delayed in building a New Elementary School in south San Francisco. Abc 7 news was there as School Leaders gave an update on the elementary last night. Krubz began four years ago. It was supposed to be done last year. Parents are concerned about ongoing work during the school year. Neighbors are tired of the disruption from the long construction. The School District says its now on track to be finished in december. One of the things that we did is we changed contractors. January of 2016. So what that did is that pushed back the completion date. Construction was projected to cost 21 million. Now, its at 30 million. The district says bonds will cover that. Maybe theyll be able to win the lottery. Massing dueling lottery jackpots keep going up. Laura anthony has our story. Randy willford said he just finished fixing a flat tire when he noticed what looked like litter along the highway. He soon realized they were baseball cards. Thousands of them. So he started picking them up. What was going through my mind was, the one card that you leave sitting in the bushes is the one with all the value or the one that meant the most, so you end up digging through the bushes to get all of the cards out.
