Investigators believe she was homeless and living in a shelter when she tried to stow away an plane. They claimed she ran on to a runway, waving her arms at a play. She wanted to return to guatemala, her home country and hoped to smoke on a plenty. She also told police she got the idea from the teen who snuck into the wheel well of a play from san jose to hawaii last april. 15yearold yayha abdi survived the trip somehow. I think everyone is a little leery of what can happen on on a plane and at an airport. Pretty much anything can happen. This woman was cause trying to sneak on a plane 7 times. Police went to serve a search warrant and wound up shooting a man to death. Investigators are trying to figure out what happened. Sergio quintana tells us more. A couple hours after the shooting a motorcycle was still lying in the middle of the street. Witnesses said the man riding the bike sped away from this house a few yards from the shooting scene. Accord together napa police chief, officers were trying to serve a search warrant for drugs and weapons. They served the search warrant for a 41yearold male. The shooting ensues. Officers found a handgun at the shooting scene but its not clear if the suspect you pulled the gun or fired a shot. We talked with a neighbor who was on her front porch when she heard the commotion. He was an motor cycle and they were like chasing him. I didnt see anything but i heard three shots. Officers with the city of napa were involved in the shooting. So as part of standard procedure the officers of the Sheriffs Department took over the investigation. Names have not been released. Deputies are reviewing their security after one week a man overpowered a guard and escaped. Carter was classified as a minimum security inmate. That means only one guard was guarding him on the out of town trip. Crime stoppers upped their reward to 6,000 for information leading to his arrest.
