A mother and her young daughter are safe this morning but the search for them may have been connected to the investigation of a man wellknown for being beaten by almeda county sheriffs deputy. Abc7 news report he has the latest. Reporter play say 23yearold dana rinta and her oneyearold daughter, scarlet, were found you unharmed. They went miss hadding after a raid. They arrested stanislav petrov, who police say is her exboyfriend. He was led out of the house and put in the back of a police car. We know at some point in time they were, and their conversation that we want to have with hi. Investigators want to talk to rinta about him. Petrov is also the man seen in this Surveillance Video. Hes suing the almeda county Sheriffs Office after deputies were seen beating limb last november. He led the police on a chase in a stolen car and nows back in custody facin federal prosecution. That was a federal investigation that we partnered with. It involves the fact that mr. Petrov is not supposed to be in possession of firearms. I spoke with rintas mother on the phone. She told me she does not it know petrov and hes not scarletts father. The two were last seen march 14th. Police wont say where they were found. It would have rent ford medium income people and lafayette hardly has any apartments. A its a violation of the housing accountability act. The renters also claimed discrimination taking apartment residents tend to be more ethnic diverse than the general population of lafayette. The are voters have had very little impact on the project. Group called save lafayette said the city is already overrun by traffic and has allowed too many other developments. The character of the town is now being challenged by these developments, and this is one of the Major Concerns that to fundamentally change lafayette forever.
