Victims joined Oakland Police today and renewed their call to solve a crime that took place three years ago. Eduardo childress was shot dead near Garfield Elementary school. They believe the same gunman killed larry la vet and left his body near Diamond Canyon park. We know somebody who knows about it. I know that his friends knows. No doubt about it. Why no one come forward, i dont know. Not so much about a number or stat, but about a person. But about a family member, about a community. Police say they have some leads but not enough to prosecute anyone for killing childress and le vet. Still, the attorney for the youth league is back in Court Speaking an injunction to stop the work, even though santa clara agreed two years ago to let the nfl use the facility. The soccer group says 6,000 Young Players have no place else to play. The attorney wonders why the lastminute objection. Nobody said boo about any of the arrangements or the likelihood or the facts that the nfl would need these soccer fields. The soccer leagues president says they were left in the dark at meeting after meeting. In those meetings, weve asked what can we expect when the super bowl comes . And we were told all the way up until the middle of the december we dont know. If the judge grants an injunction, it would send the nfl scrambling to move media and the security operation.
