Kristen. Just a couple of minutes ago, theyre trying to make some progress here just behind me. Theres some men wearing some red hats there. Theyre standing on top of whats called a concrete culvert, otherwise a drainage pipe, and that is where the sea lion is. Hours ago it swam inside of there and hasnt come out since. So Marine Mammal officials are here on scene and its just a painstaking process to try to get this animal back out. They have to be careful because, of course, its a wild animal and they dont want to startle it. A creek with falling bart is pretty typical in vacaville, but look closely, something doesnt fit in this picture. Today its a sea lion, so never a dull moment. The poor thing, thats pretty scary. They say it could have been here for a couple of days or a week. The large male sea lion weighs several hundred pounds and hes not even fully grown. It swam more than 50 miles from the bay, then ended up here in vacavilles creek. Its possible that hes chasing fish, yeah. We dont know for sure. Its very possible that he just wandered up, just following some fresh water. Reporter after swimming after fish in the creek, the sea lion came out, but seemed to have trouble opening its eyes. Yeah, its possible that he was just sleepy. Its possible that he has some underlying disease thats affected his brain and maybe caused him to come up this way. Nicknamed school days, he was corralled near highway 37 and taken in for treatment. A surveillance photo has led to the arrest of a man suspected of sexual assault. George mubaric turned himself in after seeing this photo on the news and social media. This is his mug shot next to a Police Sketch of the suspect. Hes accused of two sexual assaults, including one at the palo alto caltrain station on march 1st. A man who was going do doortodoor selling magazines is under arrest accused of sexually assaulting a napa woman inside her home. It happened just before 6 00 last night on pine street. A transient named Lester Morris ivy was selling magazines when he entered the womans home uninvited and attacked her. Ivy is in jail on a Sexual Battery charge. The victim is recovering. We have new details on the deadly shooting of a man by napa Police Officers last night. The man was reportedly stabbing and slashing at cars on a home depot parking lot. Police say that officer shot and killed a man after he turned towards them. Investigators say they founding a knife next to the man locked in the open position. The man is 23yearold noel russell from napa. A brother wants justice now that one of three suspects arrested in a deadly freeway shooting and in court.
