A gas tanker hit a fire hydrant at around 4 00 this morning. The accident sheered off the hydrant and the gas tankers supply valve. Gas from the tanker has been leaking onto the street. Because its so windy out there this morning, a hazmat team has been called out. Surrounding streets are closed as crews work to clean up the spill. We are told that some of the gas has leaked into nearby storm drains. The closures will be in effect for the next two hours. This morning a salvage crew will work to tow a car that plummeted 100 feet off a cliff last night. It happened just before 10 00 p. M. The car went over the hill of grizzly peek near south park drive south of tildone regional pa park. Witnesses say they heard a loud screech and watched the car go off the clip. It cartwheeled down the hillside. I was like, whoa, that car is going to roll off the hill and then it rolled off the hill. Authorities arent sure where the driver went off the accident or if that person was injured in the wreck. For the second night in a row a police chase ended with an accident. It started yesterday along highway 13 in oakland before 8 00 p. M. Chp officers say they tried to pull over a red mercedes sedan for missing license plates from the driver took off. A helicopter followed the car all the way to pittsburgh where police in that city used spike strips to disable the car. The driver ran and unsuccessfully tried carjacking another car near highway 4. The suspect was arrested by police. Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton spent last night at a high priced fundraiser with a high profile guest. But the event also attracted protestors. Breaking news from pittsburgh where firefighters have brought a large gas fueled fire under control. This started at 5 00 a. M. Near snowflake way. Contra costa firefighters say a broken gas meter at one of the homes kept the fire burning in that home. The flames quickly spread to a neighboring home. It took about an hour for firefighters to bring the fires in both homes under control. Seven people have been displaced. The cause is still under investigation. Deputies in ma rin evacuated a campground at dylan beach last night after a fire started in the dunes near. It fires burned about five acres. Deputies blocked several roads so firefighters could do their jobs. Campers were taken to the beach as a precaution. Investigators say the cause is suspicious. Witnesses saw people running from the scene. Thankfully no one was hurt. The red cross has put up dozens of people in the south bay after an Apartment Fire there. This is over the twin pines apartment in sunny veil. More than 30 people were evacuated. Some had to climb down ladders to get out. Firefighters were able to save several pets.
