And then dropping back into the 60s the rest of the week. Lets see what is happening in the south bay. A lot more traffic than yesterday. In the south bay looking at san jose, south bay schools, a lot of strinlgts have what they call the winter break, so we may see less traffic overall, but a crash around taylor street. Well talk about taylor swift coming up. Rest of the bay looking at a smooth try toward the dublin interchange, slowi ining North Livermore. And in hayward to the minunimit freeway, as well. Well talk about the metering lights being turned on at their typical time. Much more traffic today than yesterday. But nothing dramatic for the maze or the approach. A growing collection of flowers and candles mark the spoke the where two people were shot and killed and another wounded. Now police say the person responsible is under arrest. A dark gray suv they believe he had car jacked and a traffic stop of that suv led to the arrest and search of a home by s. W. A. T. Officers in richmond. One major missing piece is the gun used in double killing that happened just after 2 00 sunday morning. It left one man fighting for his life and killed a 21yearold. His family says he was a landscaper and just hanging out with friends when he was shot and killed. So far people have raised 800 out of an 8,000 goal for his funeral and memorial costs. We also though police have said contreras who they believe again is the gunman knew his victim, but we dont know a motive. Were expecting to saer more details from San Francisco police later today. Steven mitchell was hired by Sonoma County to handle the civil suit filed by the family of andy lopez to represent the county. Youll remember lopez was shot and killed by a sheriff deputy who mistook his replica lifl ri for a real one. Mitchells wife reported him missing over the weekend. They found mitchells car parked in bodega bay, but no sign of him. Deputies do not suspect foul play. Investigators say robert veg ga shot and killed gus vegas at his home last week. Officer vegas was the grand taker of the suspects son. Investigators are still trying to figure out any motive here or are what led to the shooting. Vegas was a 15 year veteran of the Richmond Police department. He will be honored at a Public Memorial Service in richmond this friday. A warning this morning in Campus Police at ucburg berkel. A 15yearold girl was walking saturday night when a man approached her with a knife. The teen was not hurt during the robbery. All new this morning, Police Searching for an armed robber who held up a cashier at gunpoint at a boost mobile store. This happened about 7 00 last night. Investigators say that that cashier was forced to open the register while the suspect pointed a silver revolver at him. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of money and its not known if any vehicle was involved in the getaway. In just a matter of hours, a brand new pharmacy will open its doors for the first time in san jose. But it redistributes unused medications for free. Kris sanchez live in front of the pharmacy on east santa clara street. And its the first of its kind in the entire state. Reporter this could be a model for the entire state. Its xwegetting either open dedicated facility and it really is the culmination of nearly a decade of this kind of work providing free prescriptions for people who could not otherwise afford them. Back in 2008, the Santa Clara County department of Public Health saw a way to put unused prescriptions in to the hands of people who were either not buying them or who were skipping doses in order to make the prescription last. Since then it has saved 400,000 and kept a lot of drugs out of the landfills and water supply. And were scrolling through some of the more than 21 pages of drugs available this week to treat conditions from asthma to heart conditions and beyond. The county accepts unused unopened unexpired medications from licensed donors. Anyone who cannot afford a prescription can bring it here to be filled for no proof income, residency or citizenship required. If the meds are in stock, the prescription is filled just like at any other pharmacy. The stock does vary based on what the dough nations are that week. And it cannot it dispense controlled substances. But certainly a lot of other medications that can help people. Here we are tomorrow morning and we start to see the showers moving into parts of the north bay. And some much needed rain at that as it gets heavier into the evening commute once again this is tomorrow. And we will see those showers lingering into early thursday before it clears out. At this point it looks like there could be anywhere between quarter of an inch in palo alto, maybe half an inch in oakland and santa rose. But the temperature outlook is well above normal. We should be at about 61 degree this is livermore, up to 78 today. 65 tomorrow with the clouds and late kay showday showers. And cooler on thursday. We will have highs reaching back into the 70s by this weekend. So look good especially on sunday.
