Thieves with a lot of the valuables on the loose this morning after breaking into an antique store in San Francisco and getting away with thousands of dollars worth of priceless items. Many dating back to hundreds of years. Today in the bay sharon is live at the antique store on jackson street where it happened. Sharon, as i understand you spoke with the shop owner. Reporter thats right. I did speak with the shop owner about a half hour ago. He had workers boarding up the windows, as you can see behind me. He didnt want to go on camera but he had a lot of stories to tell about the items. Daniel fine of an daniel fine of antiques said theres a lot of new Stores Opening on jackson street. Hes had the antique store here since 1992. He said its the first time hes been burglarized with so many items taken. The burglars were clearly in a rush with the alarm going off, even leaving behind a flashlight. Here are some of the items they took. Sterling candle sticks dating back to 1771. Its a shame because there were so many set pieces such as sterling silver tea set they got away with part of the set. Now the rare part of history is no longer intact. The owner said most likely these pieces will be sold and melted which he said is such a shame. No word if its connected to this burglary, but the owner said definitely a lot more vandalism has been happening in this area. Theyre concerned and they want these suspects caught. She was visiting her partners family in austin. The two, as you mentioned, were planning a wedding celebration for this october. Moultrie was a School Bus Driver for the Sequoia Union high school district. Her brother said she spent the day with friends this weekend. After a night out she and the others were leaving a doughnut shop when she was shot. She loved her job. She loved kids. She was a super star basketball player at woodside high school. She loved basketball, softball, she loved her family. She was just a great person. Moultrie died of her injuries. Three other people will recover from their gunshot wound. Police are looking for a person of interest. They have not called him a suspect. 24yearold Endicott Mccray, according to our sister station in austin. He has a record in another county. It might be contributing to more cars waiting in line because the one car carrier took about five car lengths. Other than that a smooth slow down. Some who use the trail believe it could be part of an ongoing feud between hikers and bikers who use the trail. San franciscos balanced budget ready to be signed. The mayor ed lee will put his signature on the nearly 10 billion budget this afternoon. The budget caused controversy among the board of supervisors last month. It hinges on a increase of taxes that must be approved by voters. It would add. 75 to increase the city sales tax. Its counting on 150 million from that tax increase alone. Traffic out of castro valley. Reports of a crash involving a semi truck on the shoulder a distractions. But is also one lane, the fast lane blocked thats scene. It continues this stretch. Oakland and down toward the san mateo bridge. You can stick it out the lanes, except for one lane at a time is open. Thats a better bet than getting off the freeway. The bay bridge toll has a back up. I want to show you the reason for the slowing. Volume traffic is one issue but toward the Treasure Island tunnel theres a crash reported shy of the tunnel. It started sunday from a fire that broke out after 4 00 on commercial street not far from the san jose municipal golf course. San jose firefighters had the fire out in about 30 minutes. People were wondering where all the smoke was coming. Dangerous situation in pacifica after a car crashes and comes to rest on the gas meter of a home. I heard a loud crash. It happened near highway 1. Police say the car left the roadway and went down the hillside and stopped by the gas meter. Officers quickly reacted and removed the driver fearing the car might catch fire from the crash. Police say the driver was okay, but later arrested for driving under the influence. There was no damage to the home. Scary scene over the weekend in the Emerald Hills neighborhood of unincorporated redwood city. Sheriffs department say the suv roll over rolled on to the driveway of a home on hillside road. The driver suffered minor injuries. The owner of the home describes the actual moment of the crash. Deputies administered a sobriety test taking the driver into custody. Court clerks are planning a demonstration for more money.
