Stilts on his couch, raising up furniture, taking as much up off the floor as he possibly can to prepare for the storm. Interesting thing, he said sandbags do them no good. The water rushing on into his home, but he says he does have majority of his belongings secure, as much as he woepossib can. What a lot of these homeowners are doing, especially those who live so close to the water. The river. This water expected to ride an inch throughout the day, evening and overnight. Police are calling it one of the worst kinds of crimes. A man charged for allegedly forcing a woman off a b. A. R. T. Train and then raping her. The 27yearold woman, or the 27yearold alleged victim, rather, seen here, forced the woman off the train, and as she was heading home from a holiday party. It happened at the powell street station about a week before christmas. Documents say the woman was intoxicated, swayi ining back a forth when the suspects approached her. After the attack managed to make her way to a nearby house and the homeowners called 911. Dna on her matched the alleged assailant. Well, frances tilting ma len yul tower spawned yet another lawsuit. The owners of 20 units in the highrise luxury building file add lawsuit yesterday on city officials. Specific lip, the building department. The citys Attorneys Office and publicly funded transit terminal now under introduction next door. The residents claim those city officials conspired with the developer to hide the towers sinking problems from condo owners. The claims appear to be partly based on documents uncovered by the nbc bay area in august. Now, the Russian River at guerneville expected to reach flood stage heading into early monday. 36. 3 feet. Flood stage, 32. North bay hit the hardest in terms of rivers. Our next story is bound to bring a smile to your face, about the Successful End to a twomonthlong search to rescue a lost dog. Perhaps the only thing sweeter than the conclusion is the little girl responsible for it. We have the touching story, in this mornings bay area proud. Reporter there is only so much Life Experience one can really gain by the age of 6. But when its the right experience as megan recently showed the adults in her life good practice. Reporter including her mom karen it can make all the difference. She taught me a huge lesson that day. Reporter the story begins in the fields and orchards of hollister, a few months ago people began spotting a stray dog. The hollis tr animal lost and found Facebook Page was quickly on the case. They learned the dog had escaped from a new home just two days after being adopted, and clearly had no interest in going back. She was in what we call fight or flight mode. Reporter deana barth and her experienced rescue team tried, and tried, and failed, for two months to catch the dog. Ive done Animal Rescue for years. All of the typical things, cage traps, baiting with smelly foods, all of those things was not working. So our only way to get her to be able to hearn her trust, get someone she might remember. Reporter when megan comes in. You see, megan and her mom fostered and train rescue dogs in their morgan hill home. 75 in just the past year alone. Weve done some therapy dogs and trained some feeding dogs. She has retrained several from puppies. Reporter one of those dogs, it turns out, was daisy. The hollister stray, and though only in the home for a few weeks he bond with megan was uncanny. Reporter which is why in late December Karen and megan drove to hollister to see what they could do, and saw daisy sitting in a field. Daisy reporter karen started shooting video and wasnt the one who told megan what to do next. Megan says that was daisy. She told me, because you can talk to dogs in your brain. And she told me, she would come to me, and i believed it. Reporter so out megan went. Laid down right in the middle of the field, and waited. I i didnt have a plan. I just started doing. And i used all of my experience with the dogs. Reporter daisy was cautious at first. But then this dog who had run from every wellmeaning adult looking to help her ah reporter finally surrendered to the charm ah, good girl. Reporter of a 6yearold dog whisperer. I am so proud of my kid. I was just amazed. I could not believe my eyes. Theres no way to watch that and not cry. Huh . This is the best foster dog that ive ever had. Reporter megan and daisy have catching up to do, but wont be staying together. The they want to keep rescuing other dogs so they found ra
