This after a wild 30hour manhunt which had residents in several south bay neighborhoods on edge. We have video from downtown san jose. This is last night. The stolen chevy malibu being towed away. Law enforcement officers had been looking for this car after the Bank Robbery Suspects stole it while on the run. A few hours before that our nbc chopper was over the scene as Police Chased that man through an active construction site where he was trying to hide from them. Hes one of the three men Police Spotted in a stolen Unmarked Police car early yesterday. His two accomplices gave up, arrested immediately, but he jumped out of the car running away putting parts of japantown on lockdown. Police had rifles in hand searching cars and homes for that third suspect. When we attempted to take him into custody he resisted. One officer did deploy a taser in after effort to overcome the resistance. All three men are being questioned in relation to that bank robbery when happened thursday at a bank of america in scotts valley. That manhunt made for anxious moments in several south bay neighborhoods. During the search, people from los gatos to san jose were told to secure their homes, some told to shelter in place.
