Traffic jams are common or Southern California weekdays but night like this weekend. Nearby victims rescuers found a driver dead inside a car on a flooded road. Two passengers were killed in separate accidents along a slippery interstate near san diego. And a man was electiontry cuted when power lines fell on his car. Downed trees were everywhere due to winds gusting up to 80 Miles Per Hour. Homeowners are facing a massive mud cleanup. So im trying to clear a path so i can take the lumer out of the slots and these guys can come in and help me with a front loader and help me with the driveway. In san person with dean oall eyes on this mountain the fear is that saturated ground will give way again. Conditions not so deadly and difficult up here in the bay area, but we are seeing quite a bit of rain headed our way. Ive got to say being from Southern California i know a lot of those freeways and those roads and my parents live live there and were tracking a potential storm that could bring up winds up to 50mileperhour gusts. Right now if you are waking up in the south bay, 48 degrees were peninsula 48 degrees, mostly cloudy skies. We have seen a disturbance that kind of grout some rain to areas of north bay and also San Francisco over the past couple of hours and we are going to see that disturbance kick up showers here and therefore San Francisco. As we begin to see some of this rainfall kind of moving through, this isnt the worst of it. Were actually tracking that Atmospheric River that is expected to come in tonight. And you can actually see it right here on the radar. That is going to bring in moderate to heavy downpours through tonight and stormy conditions as well. So the lets talk about this hourbyhour outlook. As you can tell by about 1 00 we can see a few of these scatters showers. So were expecting the chance to see some showers all day long not just for the north. Fast forward to about zpoen clock areas of morgan hill and the mountains will start to see some flooding ahead of that river. But fast forward through 3clirt a. M. You can he see the orange, yellow, purposing thats where were expecting those conditions to pick up and they will come into play for flood watches. By 12 30 we kind of see this band bulls aye around liver more, san jose as well as it comes in from the sounl and winds will pick up as well bringing a high threat of downed power lines and knocking trees over. Looking ahead to 90 were not under an alert but we should be by tonight. The monday rain totals could be anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain which could make for very dangerous travel as well. Wind gusts could be anywhere from 30 to 50 Miles Per Hour, and of course the Weather Service ahead of this storm has issued a wind guise advisory that will take effect tonight at about 4 00 and remain in effect until 4 00 on tuesday. By about 5 30 on monday Half Moon Bay 40 Miles Per Hour per hour, and even down near the south we had about 24 Miles Per Hour. So just looking ahead at the estimated wind gusts we can see that the winds begin to pick up and also this is going to bring a huge threat for localized flooding and, of course but right now the reds voirz are at capacity. We took a look at anderson it is 101 . Coyote 103 and lexington lexington already over 100 capacity if the this ask something we will be monitoring with that incoming storm. Now, we do have a couple of changes coming our way. Tonights storm is going to be the strongest, bringing flood risks through monday morning and we are expecting that rain to stick around through monday. The heaviest rain is, unfortunately going to be during your Early Morning commute, so you definitely want to take some extra time and plan out that morning ahead of time. By tuesday that rain kind of shifts into showers thaends by wednesday we see the last disturbance kind of bring something showers as well and through next weekend we finally dry out by thursday but for tonight get ready for that microclimate weather alert.
