I sent out a tweet that mentioned all lanes have been reopened here on 101 south near grant avenue following that fatal pedestrian accident. Since the scene has cleared behind me well show you video when this all took place. According to chp they say the accident happened roughly around 3 12 a. M. Were working to get more information on how that pedestrian got here in the first place. We know this area was shut down at least a couple hours while they dealt with the situation. Chp did tell me it appears to be a male killed. Thats pretty much all the information they could give me at this time. Lanes have been open on 101 south so it is no longer an impact for folks travel in the area this morning. Pete suratos for today in the bay. Got it open in time for the bulk of the commute. New this morning in the last 30 minutes weve confirmed with the Santa Clara CountySheriffs Office a man did drown in morgan hill. Deputies are also telling us the mans body has been found as well. The man drowned between highway 101 and old monterey road. That portion of the creek has very strong current. People are recovering after a car crash in brentwood. Chp says it was due to a headon collision between a driver and a stolen car going the wrong way and a van with seven people inside of it including three kids. That crash happened westbound highway 4. Helicopters had to come in to support and transport some of the victims. The man suspected of driving the hohn da accord was treated for minor injuries. Two people in the van remained in the hospital this morning. San jose police are looking for a man who shot a woman in front of an apartment complex. It happened about midnight saturday near winchester boulevard. We heard around six gunshots. We saw the cops and streets were closed. The victim was of treated for nonlife threatening injuries from the hospital. Its taken a while by happening today longawaited repairs are set to begin any moment for a sinkhole that has caused traffic headaches for a year and a half. A live look at the detours. That is where heavy storms ca e caused a sinkhole to form. Repairs costs kept ballooning. Repairs are expect ed to take more than two months to finish.
