Happening today, San Francisco police chief greg suhr will introduce a revised use of force policy for his officers. A lot of eyes on what we might see in this proposed use of force policy that would be brandnew to the sfpd to be unveiled tonight at the Police Commissioners meeting. An integral part of chief suhrs plan is asking for tasers. It could be a tough request. He has tried to arm officers specifically trained in crisis intervention in the past and the city has been against it. But this is one of the key reform proposals now being considered along with other deescalation practices all in an effort to prevent officers from using lethal force. Its calling for several revisions to an agreement that revamps its Police Department and court system. The suburb has been in the spotlight since the Police Shooting of michael brown. After the councils vote, the Justice Department said it might consider legal actions against ferguson to ensure the original agreement is enforced. Looks like San Francisco taxpayers may have to pay for the legal fees of 10 Police Officers accused of sending racist and homophobic text messages. In december a judge ruled that the officers would not be punished for the texts because the department waited too long. Lawyers for all 10 of the officers in the case say they will file civil suits against the city to pay their legal fees. The fees could be at least 100,000 for each client. The number of job openings in the u. S. Is just short of a record. The Labor Department says there were 5. 6 million Unfilled Positions in december and thats just under an alltime record set in july. The trouble, many u. S. Workers lack the skills required to fill those positions. Experts say one snag is some entry level Jobs Require College degrees. Right around grant line. Then past there is where it eases up a bit heading towards the dublin interchange. Now, we still have bart delays were dealing with this morning. 10 to 15minute delays for track maintenance out of downtown oakland in both directions. The rest of mass transit though is on time. Ace train no delays. Caltrain and muni metro checking in with no problems. We were seeing slight delays out of antioch westbound 4 but that cleared up quickly off the antioch bridge.
