Reporter a short time ago, San FranciscoPolice Department released a statement on their Facebook Page saying that they believe at this point that the dump truck slammed on its brakes on geary. The muni bus tried to swerve to miss it but didnt. Kind of like errr and everybody goes front. Reporter the passenger on the 38 muni bus said there was a screech of tires and then the crash. Next thing you know, we get this big jolt, boom and i look, im like oh, my god, the front windows out. Reporter sfpd says just before 2 00 the bus rearended this dump truck on geary between laguna and buchanan crumpling the front window and doors and sending 12 people to the hospital. Geary was closed for two hours as sfpd tried to figure out what happened. We are still trying to determine what happened.
