Well have more on this story coming up at 6 00. The air force confirms that a pilot was killed in the crash of a military spy plane north of sacramento. The plane went down just minutes after taking off from Beale Air Force base around 9 a. M. It crashed into the Sutter Buttes near colusa. The crash sparked a small brush fire. The two pilots had been flying a u2 plane for a Training Exercise at the time and they both ejected from the plane before it went down. The other pilot is still alive. He was captured after a man found him sleeping in the doorway of his bar. I just called the cops. You know . Thats it. I didnt do anything. I just did what any american would have done. Reporter rahami is recovering in the hospital from gunshot wounds and is held on more than 5 million bail. A bit more about that meeting between the fbi and rahamis father in 2014. What we understand happened is during the domestic disturbance between the two brothers, a neighbor overheard the father call him a terrorist. That was passed along to local police who passed it up to the fbi and then when they interviewed rahamis father, they say on two occasions the father insisted that he had said it in the heat of the moment. Back here at home, San Franciscos City Attorney is trying to find out if the Millennium Tower developer told potential buyers the skyscraper was sinking before they invested hundreds of thousands of dollars. Veronica de la cruz tells us the reaction was swift. Reporter thats right. Today City AttorneyDennis Herrera subpoenaed the developer of Millennium Tower and just minutes after that announcement, the projects pr team went on the offensive. People spent big bucks to buy condos at Millennium Tower with its sweeping views. But now the San FranciscoCity Attorney says the developer may have purposely kept buyers in the dark. Dennis herrera says he has serious concerns that the disclosures required by state law did not contain information about the settling of the property. Herrera sent that statement at 9 01 a. M. Then at 9 29 a. M. , Millennium Towers pr guy sent us this email announcing a News Conference an hour and a half later where the developer said, yes, the 58story building is sinking a little. But that despite the settlement thats occurred, the building is 100 safe. That report has been or will be turned over to the department of buildings. Reporter the tower has sunk 16 since it was built just 7 years ago and it is tilting about 2 inches. It met all the requirements of city codes. The soil, um, settled more than what was originally anticipated. Reporter everyone has been pointing fingers. Millennium blamed their problems on the big Transit Center being built nearby, saying construction destabilized the ground. The transpay authority says not so fast. The Millennium Tower was already sinking and tilting way before its crew started building the Transit Center. Supervisor peskin says he will hold hearings and subpoena key witnesses to find out what everyone knew about the settling problem. Sources say peskin received a packet detailing the liquification potential of the soil before he voted for the project in 2003. And the same sources point out that the developer donated 10,000 to peskin after the yes vote. In the middle of all this the people who spent big bucks for a nice but sunking view. To be very clear, they were never told, it was never disclosed to them to a person, not one has come forward and said that they were told that the building was sinking. We are learning some new details about the drifters accused of murdering a hiker in marin county last year. Reporter well, as far as decisions go, no decisions were made but this is going to be a very long, very drawnout process because there have been a lot of testimony and there is a lot of evidence revealing new details in this case. Reporter the courthouse was full of gory details and two of the suspects accused of committing the crimes associated with them. Morrison lampley and Lila Alligood are charged with murder and accomplice to murder of 72yearold Steven Carter shot while hiking near fairfax in october of last year. Dixon was shot and had blood all over him and there was also a dog there that was shot and blood. The dog was taken away. Reporter we now know that alligood and lampley were dating aand she tried to pin the murder on a fellow drifter sean angold to protect her boyfriend.
